JAMMU, Nov 14: Gandhi Nagar Police arrested a vehicle lifted and recovered two stolen cars from his possession.
As per police sources, in order to workout the vehicle theft cases of Jammu City South Zone, SP City South, Jammu Vinay Sharma constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Gurnam Singh Choudhary.
The team during investigation, conducted raids in suspected locations and rounded up number of suspects, based on which one Rajinder Kumar, son of Janak Raj of Chak Aslam, RS Pura was apprehended. During questioning, he admitted in involvement in two vehicle theft cases. On his disclosure, two Maruti-800 cars were recovered.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain his involvement in other theft cases.
