JAMMU, Sept 16: Satwari Police arrested a vehicle lifter along with stolen motorcycle.
As per police sources, on September 11 this year, a complaint was lodged by a man namely Moin Ahmed, son of Majid, a resident of Jawahar Nagar District Jammu with Police Station Satwari stating that some unidentified person had stolen his bullet motorcycle bearing Registration Number DL85AL-0383 during the intervening night of September 9 and 10, 2021.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 218/2021 under Sections 457 and 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Satwari and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Satwari led by SHO Inspector Deepak Jasrotia and assisted by PSI Mohammad Sayaf Khan did strenuous efforts and finally nabbed the vehicle lifter, who was identified as Mohammad Akhtar, son of Mohammad Sadiq, a resident of Jawahar Nagar Satwari District.
On his disclosure, the stolen motorcycle has been recovered.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain his involvement in other theft cases.
