RAJOURI, July 30: The police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid in Gambhir Mughlan area of Manjakote and seized a vehicle loaded with three cattle today.
Official sources said that during naka checking at Ghambir Mughlan a Police party under the supervision of SHO Manjakote Abrar Khan, intercepted a Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration No. JK11E/7314. The vehicle was driven by namely- Mohd Qayoom, son of Mohd Shafi, resident of Parat, in Sunderbani and was found loaded with three bovine animals which were being taken towards Poonch without any DM permission.
Cognizance of the matter has been taken and bovines rescued from smuggler. Police have registered the case and arrested one bovine smuggler.
