JAMMU, Feb 19: Nagrota Police busted vehicles lifting gang with the arrest of three persons along with stolen car and 8 motorcycles.
This was informed by Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Nagrota Parupkar Singh while interacting with media persons here today. SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shoket was also present during the interaction.
Divulging the details, SDPO informed that a team from Nagrota Police Station while working over theft cases arrested a thief identified as Maqsood Choudhary alias Gallu, a resident of Gursai, tehsil Mendhar, district Poonch, at present Khanpur Nagrota district Jammu. On his disclosure, police team recovered 7 motorcycles, which were stolen from jurisdictions of different police stations.
He further added that a case under FIR Number 304/2020 under Section 379 registered at Police Station Nagrota was also worked out with the arrest of the thief along with motorcycle, which he had stolen from Jagti.
“The arrested person has been identified as Bashir Ahmed alias Golu, son of Abdul Rashid of Lalial Kanachack district Jammu”, SDPO Parupkar Singh added.
In another case, Nagrota Police also arrested a thief with Alto car, which he had stolen from Bye Pass Nagrota on January 22 this year. The arrested person was identified as Bagh Ali, son of Abdul Rashid, a resident of Bye Pass Nagrota district Jammu.
“Total value of recovered stolen property is approximately Rs 6 lakhs”, SDPO Parupkar Singh informed.
The whole operation was executed by SHO Police Station Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shoket under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh, SP Rural Jammu Sanjay Sharma and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
