Vehicular movement to remain suspended

RAMBAN, Sept 21: In view of girder laying works in Ramsu flyover project of four lane works in Ramban district, traffic movements from both sides would remain suspended after 3 pm from Qazigund, Kashmir and after 5 pm from Udhampur on Sunday at Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
To ensure safety of general populace, travellers and drivers, on the request of NHAI, District Magistrate Ramban accorded permission to NHAI for girder shifting and launching at viaduct-02 A1 side NB & SB at Ramsoo on Jammu Srinagar National Highway.
Because of this traffic will remain suspended between Nashri and Navyug Tunnel from 11 pm on September 22 to 5 am on September 23.
In view of traffic halt on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway no movement of any kind of vehicle shall be allowed after 3 pm from Qazigund, Kashmir towards Jammu and 2 pm, from Udhampur towards Srinagar on Sunday.
Load carrier operators carrying fresh perishable and livestock are advised to load their vehicles accordingly.
People are requested to contact TCU Jammu, Ramban and Udhampur before starting their journey on NH-44 on September 23 morning to avoid inconvenience, the advisory issued by the Traffic Department.
