POONCH, Nov 25: The movement of traffic on both sides, including heavy vehicles on Mughal Road was today restored after a gap of about two weeks.
Official sources said that due to heavy rain and snow fall, the Mughal Road connecting Kashmir Valley with Rajouri-Poonch districts remained closed for traffic for over one week. The one way traffic on the road was restored about five days back as there was heavy snow in Pir Ki Gali and Poshana area. The movement of heavy vehicles had also been restricted by the authorities.
The Mughal Road Division of the R&B continued snow clearance work and opened the road for two way traffic today. The road has now been fully restored for all type vehicles, the official said.
