UDHAMPUR, Mar 17: Three days vertical interaction course on ‘Smart Policing’ organized by Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) for officers of the rank from DySPs to SSP concluded today. In the course, 21 officers of different wings and units of Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) participated.
The course was inaugurated by Mohammad Sulaiman Salaria, ADGP, Director, SKPA Udhampur and coordinated by SSP Randheer Singh, who was assisted by Inspector Jagpaul Sharma (I/C Forensics) as Course Secretary.
The main objectives of the course was to make the participating police officers well aware about various aspects of Smart ( S-Sensitive and Strict, M-Modern with Mobility, A-Alert and Accountability, R-Reliable and Responsive, T-Trained and Techno-Savy Policing and also to introspect and workout effective measures to achieve the targets of smart policing model.
The speakers who interacted with the course participants on different subjects were Rayees Mohammad Bhat, SSP Udhampur, Amit Sharma, RD LSLR, Udhampur Reasi, Randheer Singh, SSP, SKPAU, Faisal Qureshi, Additional SP, Udhampur, Vinay Kumar SP Operations Jammu, Kamal Sharma, CPO, CLI, SKPA Udhampur, Kameshwar Puri, DySP Headquarters Udhampur, Dr Pallavi Sachdeva, Assistant Professor Department of Lifelong Learning, JU, Dr Sunniya Wani, DySP and Aadil Mushtaq, DySP.
The valedictory moments were graced by Mohammad Sulaiman Salaria, ADGP, Director, SKPA Udhampur, who while speaking advised the participants to inculcate the proper aptitude and develop attitude of smart policing.
