JAMMU, Apr 23: Jammu Private Schools & ETT Institutes Association-(Progressive) has said that people were being instigated by the vested interests against the private education sector in the name of fees & other charges without revealing the drawbacks on the part of Government and the ground realities.
In a statement, the Association publicity secretary Sunita Bhat said that instead of streamlining the derailed Government sponsored schooling for convenience of common masses, shrewd political ruling class of the country preferred to impose number of restriction on the private sector in the name of guidelines just to show its existence.
” Two years back RTI information had revealed that Rs 1500/- to Rs 2000/- are being spent on each school going child of available strength of students within J&K Government sponsored schools and if the designated Fee Fixation Committee allows Rs 1000/- monthly tuition fee and Rs 6000/- as other annual charges to the deserving private schools, then there is hardly any scope for agitating this genuine step,” she explained and appealed the concerned authorities to initiate an early exercise to defuse the irritation by involving all stake holders and realizing the compulsions of each other in the larger interest of nation.
