JAMMU, Sept 10: Vetasta Devasthan Committee (Verinag) in its executive meeting held under the chairmanship of H N Pandita and Madusudhan Bhat discussed various measures to be taken for the development of this holy shrine and spring of Vetasta which is the origin of river Vetasta known as Jehlum.
The meeting decided to constitute the formal Trust on September 16 in which the decision regarding the celebration of Veyth Truvah the birthday of Vetasta falling on September 28 will also be discussed.
The meeting was informed that a Maha Yagya will be performed on the day at holy shrine of Vetsata at Veerinag in South Kashmir district of Anantnag as usual.
Others who attended the meeting included Moti Lal Kaul, Maharaj Krishan Raina, J L Pandita. Bansi Lal Bhat, Piraya Lal Kaul, Tej Krishan Raina, Pradman Krishan Koul, Shamboo Nath, Bitu Jee and R K Bhat.
