Veteran journalist Rahul Jalali passes away

JAMMU, July 27: Son of the soil, veteran journalist and former president of Press Club of India, Rahul Jalali passed away at New Delhi, early this morning.
He was 63. His cremation will be held tomorrow at Lodhi Road crematorium, Delhi.
Rahul Jalali, son of veteran journalist and former Bureau Chief of PTI, Late Pran Nath Jalali, was known for his versatility and he served Press Club of India as its president during 2015-16.
People from different walks of life have expressed grief over the death of Rahul Jalali and prayed for eternal peace to his soul.
In a condolence message, Governor Satya Pal Malik has expressed grief over the sad demise and conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved family besides praying for peace to the departed soul.
The Managing Committee of the Press Club of Jammu has expressed its profound shock and grief over the sad and untimely demise of Rahul Jalali. In a condolence meeting here this afternoon, Ashwani Kumar, President, and Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Secretary General of the Press Club of Jammu, paid rich tributes to the departed soul.
The officers and officials of Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) have also mourned the demise of Rahul Jalali. A condolence meet was held at the Directorate of Information, which was presided over by Director, Information, Gulzar Ahmad Shabnam, who recalled the contribution of Rahul Jalali in the field of journalism spanning over decades. The speakers said that Rahul Jalali’s role in cementing the relations between the Department and the media would be inspiring for the younger generations.
