Veterans rally organized at Military Station Ratnuchak

JAMMU, Apr 29: In accordance with the motto “Hamare Veterans Hamari Shaan” of Lt Gen KJ Singh, Army Commander, Western Command and to commemorate the glorious 10 years of the Rising Star Corps led by Lt Gen Rajeev Tewari, Sabre Brigade and Station Headquarters Ratnuchak today conducted a Veterans rally at Military Station Ratnuchak.
Around 115 veterans and two veer naris from Ratnuchak, Birpur, Khara Maidan, Datta Talab and Chowadi villages of Jammu and Samba districts took part in the rally.
The rally was inaugurated and presided over by Brigadier Vikram Kumar, Station Commander Ratnuchak Military Station. In his address the Station Commander acknowledged the sacrifices of the veterans in service of the nation and said that it is a bounden duty of the Army to look after its veterans as a mark of gratitude and respect.
The rally was also addressed by Col Yaduvir Singh (Retired) from Zila Sainik Board, Jammu.
Stalls of JK Bank and HDFC Bank, Life Insurance Corporation, Department of Agriculture and Defence Pension Disbursing Office were among various Government agencies and service sector which were established to make the veterans aware about the latest policies and welfare measures.
Veer Naris were also felicitated during the rally. The rally aimed to provide an interactive platform and mitigate issues related to pension, medical, healthcare, re-employment, and redressal of grievances of the veterans.
