Veterinary Mobile Services

Sir,
Refer news item ‘Inaccessible areas to get Veterinary Mobile Service’ DE Sept. 13.
The decision taken by the Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department to start Veterinary Mobile Services is more than welcome.
As veternaries are not available in most parts of rural areas the farming community faces many hardship to treat ailing or injured bovines. Most of the time, they are seen making rounds of the veternaries to get the services of a doctor. In case one finds a doctor, he has to make a number of pleas to him to visit his house for treatment of the sick animal. This involves a lot of expenditure for the farmer as he has to pay consultation fees to the doctor, besides paying for his conveyance. The introduction of Veterinary Mobile Services will go a long way in redressing the grievances of  the farming community.
The Department should take every step to ensure that the service  turns into a success.
Yours etc…..
