VHP asks Govt to crush subversive forces

JAMMU, Aug 6: VHP State president Leela Karan Sharma today expressed his deep concern over the prevailing situations in the State especially in Rajouri, Sunderbani, Doda, Kishtwar, Bhaderwah & Ramban areas of Jammu region.
Talking to reporters here today Mr Sharma pointed out that the incidents taken place in Rajouri, Ramban, and other places where anti national elements pelted stones, broke the shops, smashed the buses, private vehicles etc supporting the misguided youth in Valley who are behind 28 day long shut down in Kashmir is a cause of concern. This unrest is fast spreading in Jammu province also which is a serious situation and requires to be curb with heavy hands, he added.
The VHP leader said the time has come to act swiftly and fast to curb the anti national elements, any delay will be suicidal. Attempt is also being made at some quarters to demoralise the security forces who are handling the situation bravely and cautiously. Any such attempt will not be tolerated as VHP fully supports the security forces who are placed in such a delicate situation, Mr Sharma added.
Reiterating his demand he said the time has come to remove all provisions of separatism from the Constitution and bring the State at par with other States, segregate the separatists and deal with them with heavy hands by putting them behind the bars.
Mr Sharma also asked the administration to take immediate action against the culprits who have done the sacrilegious act at Sunderbani where some anti national elements have tried to disturb the peace of the area. He warned the administration that this type of act will not be tolerated and if the administration fails to take action immediately the VHP has no other option but to come on the roads and the responsibility will be of the administration.
Suresh Chander working president, Prabhu Dhyal Gupta vice president, Sudershan Khajuria Seh Samparak Pramukh and other were also present in the press conference.
