VHP criticizes remarks of Jethmalani

JAMMU, Nov 9: VHP has criticised the remarks of BJP, MP and noted lawyer Ram Jethmalani against the Lord Rama, Sita and Lakshman and urged the BJP High Command to expel him from the party as he has played with the faith of Hindus and hurt their religious sentiments.
The words used by Mr Jethmalani against the Lord Rama, Lakshman and Sita are condemnable as it has hurt the sentiments of entire Hindu Samaj, VHP State president Dr Rama Kant Dubey told reporters here today.
He said it has become a habit for the BJP MP to create controversies over various national issues with his statements but his remarks against the Hindu Avtars and Gods will not be tolerated.
Alleging his role has been cause of concern to all, Dr Dubey urged the BJP MP to be more devoted to his profession as a lawyer instead of falling into controversies unnecessarily and interfering in the matters of Hindus.
Dr Dubey said that Lord Ram is matter of faith for Hindus and they will not tolerate such remarks against him. He said even the Indian Constitution has given Lord Ram top place and remarks of Jethmalani is an insult to the Constitution of India also.
He also made an appeal to the Speaker of the Lok Sabha to take action against the BJP leader and asked the Party that how it can tolerate a leader who has made sarcastic remarks against Lord Rama on whose name Party reached the corridors of power in Delhi.
