JAMMU, Sept 19: A deputation of Hindu Raksha Samiti (HRS), Vishav Hindu Parishad (VHP), Sanatan Dharam Sabha (SDS) and Hindu Help Line (HHL) called on Divisional Commissioner, Pawan Kotwal and IGP Jammu Range Danish Rana and demanded immediate arrest of culprits responsible for Rajouri violence.
The delegation was led by VHP State president Leela Karan Sharma. It demanded that drastic steps be taken to maintain law and order in the township and the culprits be arrested under PSA.
The delegation further demanded that the minorities be given protection in Rajouri and the people whose property was damaged be given proper compensation. Both Kotwal and Rana assured that all steps will be taken to restore normalcy in the town and besides solving the grievances of the people.
The delegation also demanded that fool proof security arrangements be made in view of the increasing Fidayeen attacks on Army installations while referring to yesterday’s Uri attack.
The other members of the delegation included Ram Pal Sharma, president HRS, Vimal Gupta its general secretary, Prabhat Singh, general secretary Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Bodh Raj, secretary SDS, Shakti Dutt Sharma, secretary VHP, Rajesh Gupta vice president VHP, Ajay Manhas president Hindu Help Line and Dev Raj Sharma.
