VHP opposes restoration of Art 370

LUCKNOW, Aug 25:
Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) president Alok Kumar has said that the demand by different political parties to restore Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir was not only against the national public sentiment but also contempt of the Constitution, the judiciary and the Parliament.
He said recently six political parties gave statement against repealing Article 370. The support of Congress in this declaration has once again exposed the anti-national character of the Congress.
Also, the statement of former Chief Minister of J&K that “I wonder whether I would have been better off as a terrorist…’, is a very provocative. The VHP Working President said in a statement here today that the whole of Jammu & Kashmir is an integral part of India and the Parliament of India is free to take all kinds of decisions about it.
“After the revocation of Article 370, as the situation in J&K and Ladakh is getting normal with normal life coming back on track, and the development of the region picking up pace. It seems that these opposition parties are not liking these positive developments,” he said.
Mr Kumar also said that the people of the country were fed up with the separatist activities and from August 5 normalcy is being restored, but this separatist thinking has shocked and angered the people of the country. (UNI)
