Vibodh discusses strategy for Panchayat elections

RAJOURI, Oct 19: Senior BJP leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta held an impressive meeting with party workers of Rajouri-Darhal Constituencies to discuss strategies and future course of action for upcoming Panchayat elections. MLC along with other senior leaders also discussed on the names of the candidates that are supposed to contest election with support of the party. He ensured that deserving and honest candidates will be nominated to contest elections.
While addressing the party workers , Vibodh said that Rajouri town witnessed high participation during ULB elections. The large-scale development works that were held during last three years impelled people to participate in election against PDP-NC boycott call, he added. MLC asserted that the people of Rajouri-Poonch will show similar massive participation during Panchayat elections and the only need is to channel their vote into right direction. He said, ” NDA Government has always acknowledged the potentials of rural India and made sincere efforts to groom those potentials. Whether it was NDA led by former PM late Atal Bihari Vajpyee or present Modi Government, both have made tremendous efforts to develop Indian villages on modern lines.”
He also highlighted various schemes sponsored by Prime Minister, Narinder Modi to increase the economy and raise standard of living in villages. He mentioned schemes such as soil health card scheme, PM Gram Sinchai Yojana, Kisan Vikas Patar and many more. He asked party men to organise door to door campaign and apprise people about the achievements of Central Government.
Speaking on 73rd Amendment MLC said,” BJP has empowered Panchayts through various landmark decisions and implementation of 73rd Amendment has vested J&K Panchayats with real powers”. “Extension of 73rd Amendment will transform Panchyats into powerful units of development in J&K”, he added. He appealed people to vote BJP for empowering villages and Panchyats in J&K.
Speaking on the occasion BJP district president, Dinesh Sharma also asked party workers to carry drives to bring more and more people into party fold. Ex-Pahari Board Chairman Kuldeep Raj Gupta, Rajendra Gupta and Bharat Bhushan Vaid also spoke on the occasion. Senior party workers who attended the meeting were Dev Raj Sharma, Darbar Choudhary, Atam Gupta, Kamal Bakshi, Ranjit Tara, Jahid Ahmand, Kapil Saral, Sanjay Sharma, Koshal Sharma, Romesh Chandermohd, Azim Sharif and Manhas Pervaiz Ahmand.
