JAMMU, Nov 26: BJP District Working Committee meeting was held at R S Pura near here, today to deliberate and discuss various organisational issues.
Addressing the meeting, BJP J&K general secretary and former MLC, Vibodh Gupta stressed on the need for strengthening the party at booth level. He said that BJP is a vibrant organization, so there is a need to make its lowest unit booth also alive.
Vibodh called upon the party leaders and workers present in the meeting to organise booth level functions to strengthen the party. Throwing light on the party ideology, Vibodh said that BJP believes in collective leadership, not individuals. Vibodh said that after 70 years of independence, India’s self-respect has re-awakened under the able leadership of PM Modi. Today India is on its way to become a world leader.
Vibodh also slammed NC and PDP leaders for their double standards on selective killings of innocent people and for terming the terrorists as innocent. He made it clear that through their recent statements the frustrated PDP and NC leaders are once again confirming that they have anti-army DNA.
In his address to the party workers, BJP J&K UT vice president and former Minister, Sham Lal Choudhary said that presently BJP workers have an important responsibility in building a new India. He further added that it is the responsibility of party workers to take the schemes of the Government to the common man. He stressed that all party leaders and workers should have one goal, common aspiration and everyone needs to be united to make India powerful.
Sham said that the recent announcement of 25 major highway projects in Jammu division at the cost of Rs. 11,721 crore is an indication of the same.
The one day Working Committee meeting was also addressed by BJP district president H S Pami. He said that improved road connectivity will boost the tourism industry and will create tremendous employment opportunities. He also threw light on various organizational policies and upcoming programmes of the party.
Prominent among others who attended the meeting included Prabhari Ayodhya Gupta, Sangathan Mantri, Inderjeet, Ex. MLA Ashwani Sharma, Ex MLA Kamal Arora, Parbhari Mahila Morcha, Anuradha Sharma etc.
