RAJOURI, Mar 15: In order to highlight the past three years of achievements of the Coalition Government in the State, BJP senior leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta has launched a massive awareness campaign in Rajouri district.
As part of the same, he visited the remote and far off villages, Argi Dalohri, Pathri Morh, Dangri and Bal Jarallan villages of Rajouri and held series of public meetings there.
While addressing the locals during this tour Vibodh highlighted various historic developmental projects which have been initiated during last three years of Coalition Government. He informed that as at the time of Government formation there was a fractured mandate and it was the able leadership of our visionary leaders that they kept the individual party priorities aside by putting the nation first, he added.
He said it was this reason that has totally redefined the developmental agenda for the State of Jammu & Kashmir. Vibodh further added that as a result of this the State is moving fast towards making each region of our State a model region. He also highlighted many pro poor programmes and schemes being implemented by the present State and Central Governments. While listing few historic projects, Vidodh said that coming up of Ayurvedic College, IIT Jammu, New Medical Colleges and three Passport Seva Kendras in Jammu region are great achievements of the present Government.
The other projects like Devika river cleaning project, Tunnel at Zogila, All-weather Mughal Road have also been initiated during these three years and they clearly show that present Government has only one agenda and that is development. He also highlighted various tourism projects which have been recently initiated in the Sate in general and Pir Panjal region in particular. While giving specific details about various developmental projects in Pir Panjal, Vibodh said that present Government has a special focus on this region as this area was always neglected by earlier Governments.
Giving specific examples of direct benefits to the common masses from the Government, Vibodh said that it is the present Government which has also given its due to the PoK refugees in the State. For the first time in the history, all the refugees are being given cash compensation and this shows the seriousness of our Government towards refugees.
