RAJOURI, Apr 7: Member Legislative Council (MLC) Vibodh Gupta today inaugurated an alternate road from Horticulture office to new Bus Stand Rajouri via Convent School.
The MLC was accompanied by officials of RDD, local citizens and BJP leaders. Inaugurating the road, Vibodh Gupta said that the Road has been constructed at the cost of Rs 50 lakh. He said that this road was the main demand of the people of the area and will provide alternate connectivity to the local population from new Bus Stand.
Vibodh Gupta said that Rajouri town is going through an era of transformation and basic development. He also accused previous legislators of Rajouri for ignoring developmental aspects of town and said that people in many localities are still deprived of some basic developmental facilities which clearly shows ignorant attitude by previous representatives. “I will not claim of anything but result of my efforts is on ground,” Gupta said.
He further said that Central and State Governments are committed to strengthen the road connectivity which is key to socio-economic development. He said Central Government has been so liberal in providing free flow of funds for the development of Jammu and Kashmir thereby fulfilling the slogans of Prime Minister Narendra Modi “Sab Ka Saath Sab Ka Bikas”.
He said several initiatives are in pipeline on developmental front to ensure overall development of Rajouri. He said the productive use of funds play an important role in changing socio-economic profile of the people. The MLC asked people to come forward and get actively involved in day to day governance by providing feedback about implementation of various schemes of Government, the MLC said.
District president, Dinesh Sharma, said that said that coalition Government has accorded focused attention to upgrade infrastructure to provide all basic facilities in every nook and corner of the State, right from its formation.
