RAJOURI, Oct 5: The J&K Bank today is a key financial institution and has made phenomenal growth during the last few years after the abrogation of Article 370. These remarks were made by BJP J&K general secretary and former MLC, Vibodh Gupta while inaugurating the J&K Bank ATM at Dharat in Nowshera today.
This ATM is part of the mission of the J&K Bank to provide ease of banking to every section of the society. While addressing the locals on the occasion, Vibodh informed that with the commissioning of this ATM, the total number of ATMs in the twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch has gone up to 84. Commending the role of J&K Bank in providing latest banking facilities to the general public, Vibodh appreciated it’s role in promoting different financial schemes tailored to meet economic and social security needs of the people.
He added that Bank is making footprint at grossroot level and has earned profit of 1200 crore for financial year ending March 2023. This he said became possible only because of the efficient working of the Bank after abrogation of Article 370, he added.
The new ATM is a testament to the unwavering dedication of the bank management to providing easy and convenient access to banking facilities to the poor and weaker section of the society, Vibodh said.
Speaking on the occasion, Zonal Head of J&K Bank Satish Kumar said that while deepening its digital footprint in the area the new ATM will cater to the needs of a large population thereby saving their valuable time and energy. He urged the people of the area to avail the easy and convenient banking services for the convenience of the customers and people at large. Prominent among others who were present in the meeting included, DDC member, Sangeeta Sharma, BDC Chairman, Neena Sharma, president Beopar Mandal, Bharat Bhushan Gupta, Vice Chairman, Municipal Committee, Nowshera, Vishal Gupta, local Sarpanches and customers of the bank.
