RAJOURI, May 8: Senior BJP leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta inaugurated a medical store here today in the presence of a large number of local shopkeepers and general public.
On this occasion, Gupta expressed hope that with the opening of medical store in the area, residents can easily get medicines. Owner of medical store, Abhimanyu Mahajan, told the MLC that the store is accessible for 24 hours and will provide all types of medicines at very affordable prices.
Addressing the gathering, MLC informed that prices of many essential drug including those used for treatment of HIV infection, diabetes, anxiety disorders, bacterial infections, angina and acid reflux have been capped by the Government, leading to a price cut in the range of 5 per cent to 44 per cent.
The National Drug Pricing Regulator has also fixed the retail prices of 29 formulations, he added. He also highlighted various schemes of the Centre Government in the health sector and said that these are bringing cheer on the faces of common man.
He said Modi Government launched Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan with the aim to reduce maternal and infant mortality rates through safe pregnancies and safe deliveries. He said that under this scheme Government will provide free health check-ups to pregnant women at Government health centres and hospitals.
He further highlighted the steps taken by the PDP-BJP coalition Government to upgrade health treatment facilities in the State.
