RAJOURI, Apr 15: Senior BJP leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta inaugurated a readymade garment showroom here today in presence of a large number of local shopkeepers and general public.
Gupta, while inaugurating the showroom, said that it would not only prove to be a source of income for the proprietor but also provide employment to some other youth. “It is a very good initiative and other unemployed educated youth must get knowledge about various schemes of the Government which have been designed to help them to set up their own business units”, he added.
The MLC said that schemes like Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme, Market Development Assistance and Skill India are aimed at providing opportunities to the youth to set up their own business units.
Gupta also reiterated the commitment of Centre and the State Government for minimizing the problem of unemployment and motivated youth to come forward to take benefit of the schemes of self-employment.
Speaking about the utility of digital technology, Vibodh said it has paved way for efficient delivery and governance. He said that the Jan Dhan Yojna, Aadhaar project as well as mobile connectivity has helped reduce corruption and bring transparency.
Gupta said, our Prime Minister pitched for a digital revolution in the country, which he said is necessary to deal with problems like corruption and ensure transparent and efficient governance. We must take responsibility to ensure that the digital space does not become a playground for the dark forces of terrorism and radicalization, he said.
