RAJOURI, Apr 16: BJP senior leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta today kickstarted work for the construction of a road at Tandwal.
This area falls under Rajouri Municipality in Ward No. 13 but was always ignored for basic facilities like road, a handout issued by BJP said. It said being a densely populated area and people of this locality were suffering a lot because of lack of a road and they had  to walk for miles for their day -to- day requirements. With the construction of the road this problem will be solved, the statement added.
Addressing the gathering Vibodh Gupta said that development of neglected areas is top priority of the present coalition Government. He congratulated the local people present on the occasion and hoped that such developmental activities will give a realization to the locals about they getting all the benefits from the progressive policies of the Government. He said the road will be constructed with a estimated cost of Rs. 70 lakh.
He further added that peace is pre-requisite for such developmental initiatives. Expressing grief over recent Handwara incident in Kashmir Vibodh Gupta showed his displeasure over the loss of  lives and held the separatists responsible for such incidents. He said that the kids of these separatists are studying in good institutions abroad and common masses of Kashmir are paying for them by loosing their lives. He criticized groups like Huriyat who for their petty gains instigate the youth and thus disturb the peace and harmony.
He further added that for leading the State towards prosperity in line with the vision of   Prime Minister, Narendra Modi peace and harmony in the State is very vital factor. He called upon the local youth to join the progressive steps taken by the State and Central Governments and thus become part and parcel of developmental activities in the region.
