RAJOURI, Mar 18: Reiterating his commitment for the development agenda, senior BJP leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta today called for a collective fight by youth, civil society and Government against the drug menace in society.
He said this while addressing the gathering of locals while kick-starting developmental works in Krishna Nagar area of Rajouri.
Accompanied by, locals and people hailing from all walks of life, Gupta started the developmental works and said that solving problems of the masses was his top most agenda and it would be ensured that no person residing in the constituency was deprived of his right.
While referring to the menace of drugs, Vibodh said that drug addiction was destroying younger generation of the State and it was need of the hour to evolve a consensus how to deal with this deadly menace.
Gupta stressed that the civil society and young generation have to work together to fight against this problem adding, “this menace has gripped youth from all castes, creeds, regions and religion so there is need to come on a common platform to fight against this disease.
District president BJP Rajouri, Dinesh Sharma also addressed the gathering and said that development was apace in all spheres of Rajouri and the day was not far when whole Rajouri segment would l be bloomed into a model constituency of the State and for that the cooperation of the masses was necessary.
Senior BJP leader Bharat Bhushan Vaid asked people to become the eyes and nose of the Government to help in implementing the Government schemes and plans.
Prominent among those, who accompanied the MLC, included Atam Gupta, Kamal Bakshi, Koushal Gupta, Raja Rattan, Ashwani Kochar, Sahil Gupta, Badhri Nath and Hemakant Sharma.
