RAJOURI, May 8: Laying foundation stone of two vital by-pass road links in Rajouri town, MLC Advocate Vibodh Gupta today said that developmental slogans of State and Central Government are receiving practical implementation on ground level.
He also reiterated the commitment of State Government to fill developmental gap that prevailed in the tenure of previous Governments.
During separate programmes, MLC Gupta laid foundation stone of a by-pass road from Petrol Pump Lower Jawahar Nagar to Durga Nagar which will also provide a vital road connectivity to a shrine located at Thudi. This was a burning demand of the people living in the area.
The other foundation stone laid was of by-pass road from Dhani Dhar Bawli to Bholi Mata Mandir with 0.5 Kms stretch and cost of 70 lakh.
Both these roads are being constructed from CD Fund of MLC in convergence mode with City and Town Road Project.
Addressing in both the programs, MLC Vibodh Gupta reiterated the commitment of State Government for overall development of all the areas. He said that successive Governments ignored several areas especially in Rajouri district due to political reasons but present dispensation is working in a transparent manner and all the areas are being treated equally.
Terming both these road projects as vital, MLC stressed that in developmental respects and road connectivity in any area should also focus upon construction of bypass road so that a plan to check traffic congestion in future years is also putting place.
He said that in previous years, concerned Government paid no attention towards construction of bypass roads but present Government has shifted its concern towards bypass roads also and more than half a dozen such roads have been constructed in Rajouri Town by district administration under the supervision of State Government.
The MLC also directed PWD officials, present on the occasion, to ensure transparent and speedy completion of work on both these projects.
Prominent locals, including Varun Chandan, Raghubir Saraf, Ranjit Tara, Atam Parkash, Rajiv Kumar, Raja Ratan, Nita Kochar, Heemakant Sharma, Jasbir Singh, Reyaz Ahmed, Makhan Din, Nizam Din, Chowdhary Shafi, Krishan Mehta, Girdhari Lal and others were present in both these programmes.
