JAMMU, Mar 2: To promote mother tongue Dogri by way of singing, a video album of new Dogri duet songs “IRIKHE DA GEET” was released, here today.
The song is written, composed and produced by Rampaul Dogra. Dr Deepali Wattal a versatile singer and Rampaul Dogra have rendered melodious voice to the songs. The music is directed by Surinder Singh Manhas a famous musician of the town.
Bollywood level artists have performed roles in the video, who include Sheetal Rakwal and Arif Khan. Sonu Taneja and Dubey, a Bollywood rated director has shot the video. The song is available on the official channel of jazz boss records on YouTube for mass publicity. However, all copyrights of audio/video are reserved with producer only.
Sohail Kazmi, senior journalist and social activist, was chief guest on the occasion. He said that a language could be preserved, strengthened either by speaking , singing and writing forms but singing method makes it more easy for all to follow any language and such efforts are definitely be helpful to bring back Dogri language to its past glory.
Rampaul Dogra appealed youth to connect with mother tongue to revive its roots. He said Dogri is sweet language and needs to be promoted, especially by youth. He appealed youth to stay away from drugs habits and channelize their energy towards art culture languages.
Khalid Hussain, renowned poet and other personalities from culture background, were present on the occasion. Noted poetess Kusum Sharma Antra anchored the event.
