RAJOURI, Sept 30: A video of an elderly man brutally assaulting his daughter-in-law in the field at remote village of Taryath in Kalakote sub-division under Dharamsal police jurisdiction in Rajouri district, went viral on social media.
In the viral video, it can be seen that a father-in-law is openly beating his daughter-in-law in a field and the daughter-in-law is screaming and begging for mercy, but despite this, the father-in-law is seen beating her.
While confirming the video, the police said that the video is of Taryath village, falling under Dharamsal Police Station and taking cognizance of the matter, the police have registered an FIR against the alleged accused person, Shambu Ram under various sections of the IPC.
After the police registered the case, the father-in-law is absconding and his house is locked, the police has started search to arrest him. At present, it has not been revealed why the father-in-law is publicly beating his daughter-in-law in the fields, but the viral video of the beating remains a topic of discussion. The victim, daughter-in-law is currently at her parents’ home.
