Video-peeping case: HC suspended, inquiry ordered

JAMMU, Feb 15: A Head Constable (HC) posted with the Security Wing at Civil Secretariat Jammu, who was arrested yesterday for video-peeping in woman’s washroom in a hotel here has been suspended.
As per police sources, the Head Constable (HC) posted in the Security Wing at Civil Secretariat Jammu namely Mohammad Ramzan, son of Mohammad Kamal, a resident of Baramulla has been suspended and an inquiry initiated against him.
The order in this regard has been issued by SP Security, Civil Secretariat Shamsher Hussain.
As reported, a woman (employee in the Civil Secretariat Jammu) hailing from Lolab, District Kupwara was taking bath in her washroom in a hotel here, when she noticed Head Constable (HC) Mohammad Ramzan, son of Mohammad Kamal, a resident of Baramulla making video of her with his mobile phone.
The Head Constable (HC) resides adjoining to the woman’s room and is posted in the Security Wing at Civil Secretariat Jammu.
The woman reported the matter to police and a case under FIR Number 18/16 under Section 354-C RPC was registered against the Head Constable (HC) at Nowabad police station and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, the allegation leveled by the lady proved right and the police arrested the Head Constable (HC).
Further investigating into the case is going on.
