Vigilance Awareness Week observed by Powergrid concludes

JAMMU, Nov 1: Vigilance Awareness Week observed by Powergrid Corporation of India in its all offices falling under Northern Region Transmission System-II concluded today.
During the Vigilance Awareness Week, several programmes were organized in various schools apart from site offices for creating awareness among the employees and their family members highlighting evils of corruption and its impact on our society.
On the concluding day, a seminar on “Promoting Good Governance” was organized at Powergrid Corporate Centre, Gurgaon in which JM Garg, Vigilance Commissioner, Central Vigilance Commission addressed employees of Powergrid across the nation through Video conferencing.
CMD Powergrid RN Nayak, CVO Powergrid Parveez Hayat, Board of Directors of Powergrid alongwith all senior officers and employees of Corporation attended the conference.
JM Garg in his address urged upon the employees present there to follow systems and procedures fearlessly and not to make hasty, biased decisions in public life.
In a function at its Regional Headquarters, SK Sharma, General Manager (I/C-Projects) was the chief guest. In his address, SK Sharma apprised the dignitaries about the steps being taken by Powergrid in bringing more and more transparency in official works. He asked the employees present there to continue their working in dignified manner with high integrity.
Vigilance annual Magazine “Condour” was also released on the occasion.
KR Suri, SD Joshi, Additional General Manager (J&K Projects), Paramjit Singh Chahal, Head of Vigilance and senior officers of Powergrid, Northern Region-II were also present.
In the end of the seminar, prizes were distributed to the winners of the various competitions.
The vote of thanks was presented by Stanley Mathews, Chief Manager (HR).
The Vigilance Awareness Week was organized by Vigilance Department of Powergrid, NR-II headed by Paramjit Singh Chahal.
