JAMMU, Oct 24: The Vigilance sleuths today made surprise checking of Central Stores, Government Medical College, Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Government Hospital Sarwal and Marh and collected samples of spurious drugs in presence of experts of Drug and Food Control Organisation for further examination, analysis and investigation.
The Joint check was conducted by the Vigilance Organization Jammu headed by Dy SP Vigilance.
The surprise check was carried following the reports and inputs that Department of Health Services Jammu have purchased drugs on exorbitant rates and some of which have been alleged to be spurious without adopting codal formalities there by causing loss to State exchequer in connivance with the suppliers to confer undue benefits to them.
