JAMMU, Apr 20: Chairperson J&K Police Wives Welfare Association (PWWA), K. Vijaya Rajendra has said that health awareness among the women is a part of health care scheme of JKP in which the doctors provide free advice and medicare to the women personnel and police families to maintain their health.
She was speaking while inaugurating four day long medical camp and awareness programme, organised by IRP-15 Mahila Battalion at Gulshan Ground here this morning.
The Chairperson advised the women cops to take benefits of the available facilities in the camp and take advantage of advanced health advises from the doctors to maintain their health. She said the aim of organizing such camps is to provide better medical care and awareness at their door step. She said that more than 600 women cops and family members have already been registered who would be treated during the camp in Gulshan Ground and Police Housing Colony at Channi Himmat.
Earlier, IGP Technical, Services, H. K. Lohia. briefed the Chairperson about the latest facilities available in the camps with regard to modern diagnostic equipments procured for the Police Hospital recently by PHQ. He said that under the supervision of different teams of specialized doctors medicare along with different diagnostic facilities and free medicines are provided to the patients.
SSP Mahila Battalion, Anita Sharma also addressed the function and threw light on the survey of patients and their registration during last one month and other arrangements for the camps.
The Medical Superintendent of Police Hospital Jammu, Dr. Wasiq Rasool apprised the Chairperson about the diagnostic facilities available in the camps and the services of specialized doctors for the treatment of patients.
