Accusing PDD, the irate residents said that the unscheduled power cuts in Vijaypur town and the adjoining areas as well as the low voltage problem has added to the woes of people in this hot and humid season.
They said despite paying the power tariff regularly they continue to face power cuts of long duration and the power curtailment is also hampering the drinking water supply in the area.
Later Tehsildar Vijaypur Rampal Sharma, SDPO Vijaypur Abhishekh Sharma, AEE M&RE Sub Division Vijaypur reached the spot and assured the irate people that the power supply will be resumed in the area soon. On this assurance the protesters dispersed and the blockade on NH was lifted.
