SAMBA, July 11: Vijaypur police has arrested a drug peddler and seized one gram of heroin from his possession.
A police party of Vijaypur Police Station headed by Sub Inspector, Rajveer Singh, I/C SHO, of the Police Station under the supervision of S. Baljeet Singh, SDPO Vijaypur during patrolling at Rakh Barotian, NHW, Vijaypur intercepted a pedestrian who tried to run on seeing police. But alert cops swiftly apprehended him and during his frisking one gram of heroin (Chitta) was recovered from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Vikrant Singh, S/o Ashok Singh of Garota Mandi, Gurah Slathia, Vijaypur. He was taken to custody and contraband was seized.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 107/2019 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Vijaypur and investigation started.
