SAMBA, Oct 14: An unknown body was recovered by Vijaypur Police this morning from a pond in village Jakh, Vijaypur of district Samba near Jammu-Pathankot National Highway.
Police said, the villagers this morning saw a human body floating in the pond and informed to Vijaypur police. Then SHO Vijaypur Iqbal Choudhary along with police party rushed to the spot and took the body into custody and sent it to GMC Jammu mortuary for the identification.
The identity of the deceased has not been known as yet who appears in the age group of 22 to 24 years. Vijaypur police has registered the case in this connection for further inquiry and have started investigation under section 174 CrPC.
