JAMMU, Sept 28: A general body meeting of Vijeshwar Devasthan Trust was held here, today under the chairmanship of Prof. M.L.Malla to discuss and deliberate on the issue pertaining to caretakers who had been asked at different times by the residents of erstwhile Tehsil Bijbehara to look after the assets of temples and shrines.
Due to turmoil and disturbance this issue was pending for a long time. All those caretakers who had been asked to look after these shrines and temples passed away long back.
It was unanimously decided that Vijeshwar Devasthan Trust will look after all temple properties and assets of tehsil Bijbehara and the concerned authorities have been urged to register the name of trust as caretaker (Muhatmeen) hence forth with immediate effect.
The Trust is headed by Sanjay Tickoo as president, Pran Nath Tikoo as general secretary, Virender Mohan as treasurer, and R.L.Raina as Member.
