Vikram cautions people against sellout of their mandate for Govt formation

JAMMU, Feb 24: Cautioning people of “sellout” of their mandate for formation of new Government in the State, Vikram Malhotra, general secretary, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), asked them to remain watchful to “handshake” between the BJP and PDP mere for gaining power.
“Both BJP and PDP have come to sellout the people’s mandate, which they got on different grounds and assurances given to the electorate at the time of elections,” he lamented.
Vikram alleged that BJP and PDP tried to hoodwink the people on divisive agenda before elections and now as both failed to get majority, they just give in their basic ploy and joining hands to gain power.
The senior Congress leader stated this while addressing a public gathering here at Tange Wali Gali area in Ward No 1 of Jammu East Constituency.
During his visit to the area, Vikram Malhotra listened to the demands and grievances of residents of the locality, which were mainly related to development of the area.
He assured the gathering that he would try his level best to address their all issues and further take up the same with the concerned departments for their early redressal.
“There are several civic related problems in the Jammu city, which need to be looked into and I will do my best to resolve them,” Vikram said, adding, “I request you to highlight your all issues to the relevant authorities vigorously to get them addressed in a time bound manner.”
He further vowed to continue with his cause of development of the Jammu East Constituency as and when required.
