JAMMU, June 18: The pilgrimage to Shri Saroli Kalka Mata, which is located in Panchari block of district Udhampur began here today.
General secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Vikram Malhotra flagged off the Shri Saroli Kalka Mata yatra in the presence of a large number of devotees and prominent people.
First batch of more than 400 pilgrims drawn from far and wide was flagged off from historic Shri Maha Lakshmi Temple, Pacca Danga, Jammu and it is being conducted under the aegis of Shri Nav Durga Trust, Peer Mitha, Jammu.
It may be mentioned here that this pilgrimage is being undertaken for the last about eight years and it takes about three days to reach the holy shrine. The pilgrimage would conclude after 15 days.
Among others present were Sushant, Sunny Chibber, Rohit Sharma, Sanjay Sharma, Jyoti Vaid, Shanky, Amit, Raju, etc.
