Vikram for holistic development in old city

JAMMU, Nov 29: Congress candidate for the State Assembly polls from Jammu East, Vikram Malhotra said that he was determined to bring in holistic development in the constituency, which has not seen any growth since long.
“We have not seen any elected representative of this Assembly segment in the past either carrying out some development work or even raising problems of the people of Jammu East in the Legislative Assembly,” Vikram said adding that he will serve as voice of the people of Jammu East in the House, if he gets elected.
The Congress candidate who is also party’s State general secretary raised these points during a series of election campaigns in the areas of Prem Nagar, Mubarak Mandi and adjoining localities. He also carried out door-to-door campaign in Ward-2. A large number of supporters and people were seen raising slogans in his favour and showering flower petals on him.
In his address Vikram Malhotra said that development of all Wards of Jammu East is his first priority. Expressing that traffic congestion and lack of parking space in the old City were among the major problems being faced by the locals.
He further said that unemployment among the youth also falls in his priority list and he will ensure that a policy gets implemented that will assist to provide the local youth with employment opportunities.
He appealed the people to evaluate the quality of leadership in politics and also evaluate the qualities and capability of each candidate and then cast their valuable votes. He also asked the party workers to work unitedly and dedicatedly for strengthening the Congress party.
