Vikram inaugurates Awarness Camp in Ward No. 5

JAMMU, Dec 9: As part of its programme to provide free health services to people at their doorsteps, a Free Medical Awareness Camp was organized by “Swabhiman”, Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), in collaboration with Shri Maharishi Dayanand Charitable Hospital and Sood Eyes Clinic, Jammu, at Tiny Tots School,  Ward 5,Dalpatiyan Mohalla here today.
Mr Vikram Malhotra, Congress leader and former National general secretary, All India Youth Congress (AIYC), was the chief guest on the occasion, who also inaugurated the Free Medical Camp in presence of prominent inhabitants of the area and several Congress party workers.
Sandeep Mengi, Proprietor, Shri Maharishi Dayanand Hospital, Jammu, was the guest of honour while Deepak Handa, Chairman of Tiny Tots School, was also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering,  Vikram Malhotra called upon people to be cautious and aware about their health. He also asked them never neglect their ailment even if it is of minor nature.
He advised the people to fight the disease instead of hiding it for any reason and laid stress on routine and periodical health checkup.
“We must consult our doctor periodically so as to get rid off diseases, if any and it is cured in time,” he said.
Six senior Doctors and other para-medical staff from Shri Maharishi Dayanand Charitable Hospital performed checkup and provided consultation to over 350 people visiting the camp during the day today.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Mr. Farooq, Zahoor,  Talat Niaz Qazi, President, Muslim Federation, Jammu; Jahangir, Shafqat, Rinku, Diwakar, Thomas Khokhar, Jyoti and Pawan.
