Vikram kick starts laying of PCC tiles in Ward 7

Congress leader Bikram Malhotra starting tile work in lanes at Kanji House Mohalla in Jammu on Thursday.

JAMMU, Oct 17: Congress leader and former national general secretary, All India Youth Congress (AIYC), Vikram Malhotra kick started the work of laying Pious Concrete Cement (PCC) tiles in Mohalla Kanji House in Ward No. 7, here on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Malhotra said that Congress – National Conference coalition Government is committed for development of all areas of the State. He also assured more financial support for development of the area.
Highlighting the role of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) in development of Jammu city, Mr. Malhotra said that several new initiatives have been undertaken by the new Commissioner of JMC, Kiran Wattal after his joining, who used his office and staff to provide better service to the people in the ongoing festive season.
Vinod Kohli, Health Officer, JMC, who was present on the occasion, expressed concern over the sanitation problem in the Ward and assured to take up the same with the higher authorities.
Thomas Khokhar, local Congress leader, informed the gathering that he has also approached Joint Commissioner, Administration, JMC, for proper cleanliness drive in the area and repairs of lanes and bi-lanes of the Ward.
