JAMMU, Oct 19: Vikram Malhotra, General Secretary, Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today launched developmental works at Jullaka Mohalla in Ward No. 02 of Jammu East Constituency.
The developmental works mainly include construction of lane and drains in Jullaka Mohalla, which was a long pending demand of the people of the locality and funds to the tune of Rs. 4.00 lakh have been provided by Chairman, Legislative Council, Amrit Malhotra from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Vikram Malhotra said that people have been facing difficulties because of damaged lane and drains in their area, which was caused by massive sewerage work and recent heavy rains etc.
“While the civic related works need to be completed without any delay, the concerned authorities continue to ignore plight of the affected people,” he said, adding, “the related department and its officials should gear up their staff and machinery as and when required to solve the grievances of the masses in time.”
He also assured that more funds would be arranged to carry out any development related work in Ward No. 2.
Prominent among those present on this occasion included Sarup Singh, Akash Nayar, Amit Verma, Asha Bakshi, Madhu Abrol and others.
