JAMMU, Dec 25: Apni Party General Secretary Vikram Malhotra has appealed for the promotion of Dogra culture and language.
Malhotra was speaking at a prize distribution function organised by the DRS Entertainers on ‘Hidden Talent Contest and Couple Contest -2020’ at Zaira Bakers, Shakuntla, Jammu.
Invited as chief guest at the function, Apni Party General Secretary Vikram Malhotra emphasized upon the need for the promotion of Dogra art, culture and language.
“It is the responsibility of the society to uphold the tradition of Dogra culture and teach their children about the rich heritage of Dogras in J&K from centuries,” Malhotra said while speaking at the function. He lauded the role of Maharaja Hari Singh and other Dogra Rulers who strengthened the borders of the erstwhile State and sacrificed their lives for our safe and secure future.
Later, Malhotra distributed prizes among the successful participants. Dogra Journalist Ashish Kohli was the special guest on the occasion and Parsi Queen also participated.
Prominent comedian also known as Duggar-Da-Beta i.e. Kuldeep Hans, Parsi Queen (renowned singer) participated in the function, which was hoisted by Anchor DK. The programme was organised and directed by Deepak Bamotra, whereas Rinika Bamotra and Sahiba Sharma also played an important role in the management of the programme.
The Hidden Talent contest winner was Mehak Sodhi while Tejal Sharma and Aliya Thappa stood 2nd and 3rd, respectively. The couple contest winner was Shashi Neha Kalotra while Rajesh Arti Dogra bagged 2nd place.
