In his statement today, Vikramaditya said that the Congress Party has failed to realize and reflect the sentiments and aspirations of the people of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. He said that the Party remains disconnected from ground realities and is unable to make the necessary organizational and other changes to keep up with the emerging scenarios not only in J&K, but also at the national level.
The former MLC said that he has always stood by what he believes is in the best interest of the people of Jammu & Kashmir, and especially keeping in mind the larger National interest. “India is a rapidly evolving country and unless the leadership and the party are not dynamic and willing to adapt to the changing public sentiments and aspirations, it is only a matter of time before it fades away,” Vikramaditya added.
Meanwhile, Vikramaditya will reach New Delhi tomorrow and meet Union MoS in PMO Dr Jitendra Singh. Vikramaditya had contested 20198 Lok Sabha election on Congress mandate against Dr Jitendra Singh from Udhampur-Doda Lok Sabha seat and lost.
Sources said Vikramaditya is likely to join BJP later. Vikramaditya is brother-in-law of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and to latter is reported to have played major role in winning over Vikramaditya.
