Vikramaditya visits Tawi island, assures to solve people’s problems

Jammu, Apr 6: Reiterating commitment of the party to address day to day problems of the common masses, senior leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Member of the Legislative Council (MLC), Vikramaditya Singh today assured that basic problems of the people would be solved on priority. He said that coalition Government under the leadership of Mehbooba Mufti is committed for equitable and balanced growth for every section of the society.
Vikramaditya Singh today visited the Tawi island village of Suanjana in Marh, and held a long meeting followed by public interaction. The meeting was attended by several ladies, youth and ex servicemen in the area. Amongst the major grievences put forward were, non issuance of Adhaar cards by the SDM’s office. Residents complained that they were being made to run from pillar to post for issuance of Adhaar card for no apparent reason. The sad state of the Satwari-Makwal main road was also brought to the MLC’s notice. They also appealed to Vikramaditya to instruct the RTO to provide adequate public transportation to Satwari and back.
The large farming community complained that the Ranbir canal water does not reach the remote areas of the villages when it is most required for irrigation, thus causing great stress to them. Vikramaditya assured the public that all matters brought to his notice will be taken up with the concerned authorities for suitable action at the earliest.
