JAMMU, Dec 5: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) campaign aimed at spreading awareness about various Government schemes reached hundreds of the Panchayats in Jammu and Kashmir today.
Under the ambitious campaign, various outreach activities were organised for the stakeholders, including health check-up camps, Sankalp pledges, sports events, and interaction programme between the Government officials and the beneficiaries.
In Arnia town of Jammu District, the Municipal Committee Arnia hosted a vibrant event at the local health and wellness centre under the yatra. The occasion witnessed the active participation of different Government departments, showcasing their schemes and services to benefit the public.
In Samba District, the campaign was taken to six Panchayats. During the campaign, the Government officials and the nodal officers showed achievements and the benefits of the Government schemes and initiatives, and inspired the people to join the vision of Viksit Bharat.
The yatra witnessed enthusiastic and vibrant participation of all the stakeholders in Panchayat Satura of Hiranagar Block, Kattli Panchayat of Dinga Amb besides the Panchayats of Dhaggar, Dhaman, Dulungal, and Duggan of Block Duggan today.
There, the stakeholders listened to the recorded video messages from the Prime Minister, emphasizing significance of the campaign. The participants took the Viksit Sankalp Bharat pledge, affirming their commitment to holistic national development.
In Doda District, the flagship Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra campaign reached to various panchayats where the local residents and students actively participated in the yatra delivering speeches on moral values. They added vibrancy to the campaign through t heir captivating cultural programs.
In Rajouri District, the campaign reached the Doongi and Pangrain Blocks. The people from different Panchayats including Tunditrar, Pallulian, Thandikassi, Pangrain Lower-A, Pangrain Lower-B and other Panchayats participated in the events organised by the officers with tremendous enthusiasm.
There, one of the key aspects of the Yatra was the establishment of direct interaction between the Government and the beneficiaries. By sharing personal stories and experiences, the program created a platform for individual voice their concerns and aspirations.
In Udhampur District, the Yatra spearheaded by Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai reached 10 Panchayats of the various blocks to connect with the unreached population and maximize the impact of the centrally sponsored schemes. There, the citizens attentively listened to the recorded message from the Prime Minister, highlighting the significance of the campaign.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra visited eight Panchayats of Block Ramban to sensitize the people, besides saturating the centrally sponsored schemes in every nook and corner of the district.
IEC vans were accorded a rousing welcome by PRIs, senior citizens, youth, and local residents on its arrival in the Panchayats. Under the aegis of the Deputy Commissioner, the officials engaged people with knowledge enriching the audio-video material displayed on big screens mounted on IEC vans.
In Reasi District, the yatra was held at four Panchayats aiming to connect with the underserved population and maximize the impact of Centrally Sponsored Schemes. Block-level officers and officials from the line departments, PRIs, students, and local residents actively participated in the programs.
In Kashmir’s Srinagar District, the Yatra got an immense response different panchayats in the rural areas. Under the programme, people particularly women enthusiastically and actively participated in the campaign. Besides promoting awareness of welfare programmes, IEC awareness vans, solution of problems of public in presence of the PRIs and the officers of different departments of the District administration were the main features of the yatra which attracted the public in large numbers.
Despite challenging weather conditions and geographical limitations in different blocks of Kishtwar District, the yatra began with enthusiastic participation of the locals. Throughout its journey, numerous awareness activities regarding flagship schemes, aligned with the yatra’s objectives, were organised. Additionally, the yatra ensured comprehensive coverage and implementation of the key schemes in these areas, aiming for maximum outreach and impact.
In Kulgam District, the Yatra reached 10 more Panchayats today with the coverage of total 99 panchayats as on date in the District. Amid active participation of all the stakeholders, health camps, Sankalp pledges, and outreach activities were organised in these Panchayats, besides services made available on-the-spot to the common masses.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra commenced in 6 Panchayats Halqas of Imamsahib block of Shopian District. During the yatra, officers and officials continued to aware people about Government schemes and interacted with them and other beneficiaries. Drone and soil health card demonstrations, health camps for screening of TB, sickle cell anaemia, and other on-spot services were provided to the locals of Imamsahib.
In 168 Panchayats of District Anantnag, the yatra became a vibrant tapestry of empowerment and engagement towards a shared vision of the National development and integration. The VBSY camps emerged as dynamic hubs of activity, attracting enthusiastic individuals who actively participated in organised events and availed on-the-spot services.
In District Bandipora, the IEC van covered 70 percent of the total Panchayats and 100 percent urban local body wards. During the massive campaign, around 63000 people/beneficiaries of the District were reached out. The IEC van traversed through 115 panchayats so far, comprising 70 percent of the total panchayats in the district.
The campaign continued its remarkable journey in District Pulwama, reaching the unreached and achieving unprecedented saturation of the Government schemes. This transformative initiative, set to unfold across all 190 Panchayats in the District, has already covered approximately half of them, leaving an indelible mark on the local community.
In Kupwara District, the yatra was organised in 22 Panchayats of Mawar Qalamabad and Qaziabad blocks. There, people in large numbers participated in the yatra. The participants listened keenly to the recorded message of the Prime Minister, emphasizing the significance of the campaign.
In Bandipora District, the campaign reached 13 different Panchayats amid active participation of the stakeholders.
During the day, health check-up camps, Sankalp pledges, and outreach activities were organised in these Panchayats, besides services were made available on-the-spot to the common masses. Awareness lecture on various Government welfare schemes by resource persons, free medical camps, cultural and sports events were also organised on the occasion.
