Villager, buffalo die in cattle-shed collapse

POONCH, June 13: A villager and his buffalo were buried alive when a kucha cattle-shed collapsed at village Magnad in district Poonch today.
Official sources said that due to rain and strong windstorm in Poonch area during morning hours today, a portion of Kucha house was collapsed. 52-year-old Geeta Parsad, son of Ram Lal, resident of Magnad and his buffalo, which he was milking during incident, were buried alive.
Both were killed on the spot and their bodies were later extrivated from the debries by the people of the area and other family members. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
During windstorm some electric poles and cables were also damaged during morning hours in Poonch area. The power supply to several areas was badly hit due to storm, sources added.
