POONCH, Oct 3: A middle aged man fell down from a hill and died on the spot in Chandimarh area of Tehsil Surankote in Poonch district today.
Official sources said that as the season of cutting grass is going on, this villager was cutting grass uphill when suddenly his foot slipped, and he fell down into a gorge.
Other people also cutting grass nearby, rushed for his rescue. They found him lying dead in the gorge. His body was shifted to Chandimarh hospital.
Officials identified deceased person as Mohd Razaq, son of Nissar Khan, resident of Chandimarh area of Surankote. A Police officer confirmed the incident and said that the body was handed over to the Family for last rites.
