Villager injured in bear attack

POONCH, Nov 26: A villager was seriously injured when three bears attacked him at Hari area of Poonch district today.
Family members said that the victim had gone for grazing cattle when three bears suddenly attacked and left him critically injured. Locals shifted him to District Hospital Poonch from where he was referred to GMC Jammu for advance treatment.
Injured was identified as Nazir Hussain son of Lal Din resident of Khait Phulwadi Mohalla are of Hari in Poonch. He sustained about 60 stitches in Poonch Hospital. Family members further said that the area has been terrorized by the wild animals resulting which 6 persons were attacked and left injured by the bears in two months. They urged admin to provide financial assistance to the injured person and also activate the Wild Life Department.
