Villager’s body recovered from nallah

REASI, Feb 8:    The dead body of a middle aged villager was recovered from a nalla in Masnote area of  Arnas in district Reasi today.
A police spokesman identified the deceased as Pawan Singh (37), son of Gopal Singh, resident of Masnot village. The villager went missing last night  and the family members were searching for him. Today, his body was found lying in a nallah. He appeared to have rolled down from nearly 60 feet height.
The police said that Pawan had some drink with his friends and they kept sitting till late in the evening. He left for his home at around 11 pm and believed to have slipped into a nallah under the influence of liquor. A case has been registered in this connection. The police was investigating on other angles also.
Meanwhile, the police recovered unidentified female body from new bus stand area at Katra town this morning. The body was shifted to Katra hospital and kept in the mortuary for identification. She seemed to be non-local pilgrim.
